The difference between linear floor drain and ordinary floor drain

Shape and Structure
Traditional floor drains are mostly square on the outside and round on the inside, with a product size of approximately 10 * 10cm. In terms of structure, they generally consist of three parts: a perforated water passage panel, a concave filter layer, and a water seal buckle. The linear floor drain adopts a linear grid design, and the length and shape specifications of the product can be freely customized according to the actual space and needs of the application area. The structure is divided into five parts: linear grid panel, convex filter element, silicone anti odor element, bottom groove, and drain outlet. The drain outlet can adopt a multi pipe structure according to the needs.
Drainage performance
Traditional floor drains have limitations in drainage performance due to their limited drainage area and slow drainage caused by the use of water seal and odor prevention design. Linear floor drains, on the other hand, use long linear grids and can be designed as multi pipe structures, greatly increasing drainage space, drainage volume, and drainage speed.
Principle of insect and odor prevention
Traditional floor drains rely on their own water storage to form a water seal for insect and odor prevention, which separates indoor spaces from piping systems. However, this type of floor drain's "water seal" is prone to drying up, especially in dry areas where the positive and negative pressure in the piping can cause the loss of the "water seal" and thus lose its insect and odor prevention function. The linear floor drain adopts V-shaped silicone anti odor film, which opens and discharges directly when water passes through, automatically closes when there is no water, and forms a small water seal for secondary sealing, achieving the effect of insect and odor prevention.
Installation and laying
Traditional floor drain installation requires the surrounding ground to be inclined towards the drain, making it difficult to find slopes and complex to construct. In order to prevent water flow from spreading, height difference design is also necessary. The assembly of Jibao linear floor drain is simple and lightweight. When installing, it can be laid flat with the tile seam, basically parallel to the ground, making it convenient for the elderly, children or people with limited mobility to pass through.
